It was an absolute pleasure to visit locally based business, Skymark Packaging International, following their success in securing £5,000 of Government funding, helping them to install technology that will improve their energy consumption and efficiency.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of welcoming Levelling-Up Secretary, Michael Gove, to Scunthorpe to show him some of the exciting projects we have going on in our town.

This month the Government have launched their Stop! Think Fraud Campaign.

With fraud as the single largest crime in England and Wales, the Government has worked hard to tackle this harmful crime through the Fraud Strategy, which is well underway.

A new scheme designed to improve housing standards and protect tenants in Scunthorpe has been proposed.

Following the absolutely fantastic news that Scunthorpe Sea Cadets have received over £100,000 in funding from the Youth Investment Fund, enabling them to support many more young people a year, I was delighted to visit the grand opening of the Sea Cadets’ new facility.
