Residents may have heard that hospital bosses have announced that they are consulting local on changes to services provided at Scunthorpe General Hospital, and I know that a lot of residents are concerned.
I have already made it clear to the hospital that they must consider the impact this could have on local residents who use the hospital and I will do all I can to support residents views. Any decision they make needs to have local people’s views at its heart. My family and I use Scunthorpe General Hospital so I know how important services are.
You can fill in the consultation and make your views known here: betterhospitalshumber.nhs.uk
There will also be a public meeting held in Scunthorpe at The Pods, Friday 20th October 12 - 8pm. The consultation runs until the 5th Jan next year.
I will also be launching a survey in the coming days and will be presenting the results to hospital bosses. Please keep an eye out for this!
You can hear me talking about the proposed changes on BBC Radio Humberside yesterday above.
