A recent government scheme, set up to improve energy efficiency in schools, has provided North Lincs with £1.4m to fund the installation of solar panels for our local schools. We hope this will create savings of up to £250,000 from their bills and will save schools money for years to come.It was brilliant to have the opportunity along with local Conservative Councillors Janet Longcake, John Davison and Margaret Armiger to visit Bottesford Junior's to talk to their ‘Eco Council’ and see how this scheme is benefiting us locally. This will reduce energy costs for schools, as part of the wider aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2030. The young councillors were very impressive! I look forward to seeing more schools take advantage of this great opportunity.
