UPDATE 5/12/22: I have today tabled seven Written Questions to Ministers in the Department for Health and Social Care, asking them about the actions they are taking to improve access to PrEP- a medicine that reduces your chances of getting HIV from sex or injection drug use. Please do get in touch if you would like to know when I get responses.
Today marks World AIDS Day and I took the time in Parliament to remember everyone who has sadly died from this disease and raise awareness. Advances in modern medicine have brought us so far in the treatment for HIV/AIDS, but not everyone can access this and there is still a lot of stigma surrounding it. We’ve still got a lot of work to do to consign this disease to the history books.
