It was great to go back with Cllr Waltham and Cllr Saunby to look at developments to the open space on Laurel Way – residents may know the site contains an archaeological site, first identified in 1994.
Having worked with local representatives and North Lincs Council, I'm pleased to say that we have received £912,232 from the Government's Rural Mobility Fund to improve our local JustGo North Lincs on-demand bus service.
There is some upcoming essential maintenance work on the M180/M181/A180/A160. Parts of the motorways will be resurfaced, with markings and studs added as well as some work done on the bridge carrying Woad Lane over the A180.
Today I met with the Northern Powerhouse Minister, Jake Berry to discuss projects and opportunities that will help improve Scunthorpe. I stressed how important our steelworks jobs are locally, and highlighted the real need for improvement to the A15.
