Last week I had the privilege of visiting the Wortley House Hotel, where I met volunteers from Hope House home of Bosom Family Support (BFS), who have delivered meals to a countless number of families affected by cancer across North Lincolnshire.
The leader of the council, Rob Waltham, and I had the fantastic opportunity to thank those amazing individuals. Their work has so far delivered an incredible 15,000 meals, which is something all those involved should be very proud of! As cancer affects so many families and individuals, this will have undoubtably made a great impact on so many families during a difficult time. I would also like to express my gratitude to Gez and the Wortley House Hotel team for providing their continuous support to BFS and facilitate their ongoing brilliant work. Truly people to be proud of in our area.
