Supporting our local businesses, community groups, and building up our high street

As your MP I am always keen to support local businesses and community groups. One of my priorities over the next five years is to build up our local area and high street, and so far we have secured £30 million from the Government's Towns Fund and High Streets Fund to do so. Money is being invested in a new Business and Innovation Hub, green spaces, and renewable energy sources among many other plans.

North Lincolnshire Job Expo

Save the date! The next North Lincolnshire Job Expo will be taking place on the 7th Feb, 2pm-6pm at the Baths Hall, Scunthorpe.

Visiting Trent Refractories

Last year North Lincolnshire’s 3-year investment plan was validated by the Government, meaning that our area will be getting £6.5m worth of investment from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Completion of new Scunthorpe short breaks facility

I’m delighted to see that the new Tree Tops, a new short breaks facility funded by the Government, has been completed.

The new building sits on the site of our former wellbeing hub on Alvingham Road.

Attending a Scunthorpe United FC Match

After all the hard work done to secure the future of Scunthorpe United, I was delighted to go see a match last Friday and have the chance to meet again with the new owner, Michelle. I had a great time and I’d like to thank everyone for their warm welcome!
