Intervention during the Fisheries debate to promote eating British Fish

Tuesday, 1 September, 2020

After a busy Recess, I am back in Parliament. And today I was keen to voice my support for the Grimsby MP’s campaign to back British Fish,

The debate was on the new Fisheries Bill. This will give British fishermen and women more control over our waters after the transition period. But I had to point out that the best way for us to support our fishing industry is simple: eat more British fish!

I was also able to highlight Jimmy and Jenny's Chippy in Scawby, a chippy that sets the benchmark by using British fish.
