Last week, the Culture Secretary revealed his plan, made up of funding, guidance and public campaigns, to tackle loneliness during this pandemic. He has today written to MPs to explain his plan in more detail, and I have decided to share this with you.
The plan includes a £5 million boost to charities dedicated to victims of loneliness, expanding the work of our NHS Responders to include support for those who are lonely, along with a public information campaign focussed on reducing the stigma around being open about our loneliness.
