I have been working closely with our local hospital and CCG in the past few weeks to secure concessions for those who have been impacted by the change in Oncological services in Scunthorpe Hospital. Today I have been reassured that our CCG will be providing transportation assistance for patients from Scunthorpe Hosptial who have issues attending their cancer consultant appointments as it has been moved elsewhere.
In other words, the CCG will provide cancer patients in need of transport with help.
I have also been told that the information above has been shared via letter to those affected, but if you are a patient or a friend or family member of a patient, please let them know that they can contact our local CCG by calling the number 03033 306031 or 03033 302447 to make transport arrangements.
If you are a patient and have any issues accessing this service please contact me immediately via my email holly.mumbycroft.mp@parliament.uk and my team and I will assist you.
Lastly, I am in contact with Ministers from the Department of Health to arrange for a visit to Scunthorpe Hospital. I am keen to work with our local doctors and nurses to lobby the Ministers for much-needed improvements for our local hospital.
