One of my promises when I was elected was to help our local community groups, I often do that by using my office to support local groups to access funding with support in writing bids. We recently supported Cadney All Saints PCC with their grant application for the a new roof on Cadney Church Hall and new window blinds, and I’m delighted to say that it’s been successful! £10,000 was requested, and we have helped to secure 90%!
With Cadney Church Hall in a good state, the PCC can now concentrate their efforts and fundraising on neighbouring Grade 1 listed All Saints Church in Cadney.
The group are looking forward to the weekly Monday coffee mornings returning from Monday 6th May. The coffee mornings not only bring villagers and locals together but help provide funds towards maintenance and running costs for both the church and church hall. The coffee mornings are from 10.30 to 12noon.
